Jurokk was a Jedi General during the Clone Wars and served as Gate Master of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant in 19 BBY. He was the first Jedi the newly named Darth Vader ever killed, as well as the first Jedi to fall during the Jedi Temple Massacre.

He was assigned with guarding the Jedi Temple while Mace Windu, Agen Kolar, Kit Fisto, and Saesee Tiin traveled to Supreme Chancellor Palpatine's office to arrest him after discovering he was the Sith Lord they had been looking for. The four Jedi were killed, and Anakin Skywalker became Palpatine's apprentice, renamed Darth Vader. Jurokk had sensed each of their deaths in the Force alongside Jedi Master Shaak Ti in the Meditation chambers of the Jedi Temple.
When Anakin, now Vader, and the 501st Legion attempted to enter the Jedi Temple, Jurokk, not realizing who Anakin had become, confronted Vader, asking what was wrong. He became Vader's first kill, with the Sith Lord igniting his lightsaber through Jurokk's head. The last thing he heard was the sound of Anakin Skywalker's lightsaber activating and tunneling through the base of his skull upwards, killing him instantly.
