In 5 ABY, the Justice led the Rapid Response Task Force in the Battle of Mindor. It was later destroyed by Lord Shadowspawn's forces, and split into 3 parts. General Luke Skywalker was able to use his considerable Force skills to crash-land the bridge section on the surface of Mindor.
The Justice was of a unique design, like any Mon Cal ship. It had similarities to its sister ship, the Liberty, but possessed much larger hangar bays for launching fighter craft, causing General Luke Skywalker to remark that the ship looked "a little bit pregnant." The Justice could carry up to 10 starfighter squadrons.
Behind the scenesEdit
The Justice appeared for the first time in Star Wars: X-Wing Alliance, in the flight simulator skirmish 8P Complex 2 Team Classic Conflict. In the game the ship was classified as a MC80 Home One type Star Cruiser. However the novel Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor stated that the Justice was the sister ship to the legendary Liberty, so a MC80 Liberty type Star Cruiser.
Luke's miraculous landing of the Justice mirrors Anakin Skywalker's landing of the Invisible Hand in Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith—the ship splits into pieces, its controls are made for alien species, etc.
