The KDY light cruiser was a top-of-the-line warship used as part of the Kuat Security Forces.

The class was armed and equipped with surveillance equipment. Its thrusters didn't produce enough sublight speed to keep up with the Hound's Tooth.^[1]

In 4 ABY, a Kuat security cruiser of this kind was used to track the Hound's Tooth, appropriated by Boba Fett, to the Oranessan system.^[1]
