The Kashnir Arms KX-80 Repeating Blaster rifle was originally intended as a squad-level infantry support weapon. It was developed during the Galactic Civil War under contract for several world defense arms, and there was only ever a limited prototype production run made. The increasing number of these weapons in the hands of the Rebel Alliance was proof that Kashnir Arms were operating once more after ISB shut their factories down, now under Alliance direction.
