Kaal was a member of the 77th Air Wing's Sword Squadron. During the Battle of Kelrodo-Ai in the Western Reaches Operation of the Reconquest of the Rim, Kaal served under Scimitar Flight as its leader. He was killed, alongside the rest of Scimitar Flight, by a colony of unidentified creatures during an initial attempt at infiltrating the shaft leading down to the hypermatter reactor.
