The kal-ar were a common race among the reptilian Tiss'shar species. Their scales had thin, concentric bands beginning at the base of their jaws and going all the way to their feet.^[1]

The Ultimate Alien Anthology gives the kal-ar race the Persuasive feat, suggesting there may be biological or cultural factors positively impacting the race's skills at deceiving and intimidating others.
