Kalimahr was a cosmopolitan planet located within the Tython system of the Deep Core. It was the first planet colonized in the system after Tython itself, and was referred to as the "jewel of the Tython system".

It was the first to be colonized after Tython and became one of the most densely populated worlds. It also became the system's business and religious hub.^[1]
