The kallil-virus was a virus distinguished by the way in which it clumped together as a jelly-like mass.[2] It was notorious for the way that it trembled when touched. When activated, an orb of spores made from the malvil-tree Malubi, used by a bounty hunter named Boba Fett in 20 BBY, produced a substance that trembled like the virus.[1]
Behind the scenes
Edit
The kallil-virus was mentioned in the 2004 young reader novel Boba Fett: A New Threat by Elizabeth Hand, set between the chronologically second and third Star Wars films. Within the context of that novel, exactly what kind of thing the kallil-virus was was ambiguous, but, in 2008, The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia included an entry on the subject that identified it definitively as a virus.
