Plot summary[]

FIRST BLOOD
Part VI
It is a time of discontent. Fourteen [sic] years after the
defeat of the Jedi Order, Emperor Palpatine now
rules the galaxy with an iron fist. Rebels have
banded together to fight back. Among them is
former Jedi Padawan Caleb Dume, who now goes by
the name Kanan Jarrus.

On what was supposed to be a simple milk-run of a
mission to pick up supplies from the planet Kaller,
Kanan has faced old ghosts, encountered
smugglers, and battled stormtroopers; all while
vividly recalling significant events of his former life.

Now physically recovered, Kanan is ready to join his
rebel crewmates aboard the Ghost and leave
Kaller behind for good. But one last specter from
his past remains....

Helping an old friend[]

Kanan Jarrus reflects on the Spectres' mission to Kaller to pick up supplies for the Tarkintown refugees on Lothal. Having escaped from the stormtroopers at Plateau City, Kanan and his apprentice Ezra Bridger stay behind while the rest of the crew of the Ghost depart with the supplies for Tarkintown.

Kanan has decided to stay behind after receiving a message from an old friend. He meets with his new "friend", the planet's provincial governor Gamut Key, to answer the call. While traveling aboard Key's luxurious ship, Kanan tells Ezra that he received a coded message that Morfizo needed their help. When Key asks how they can be sure that it is not a trap, Kanan says that Morfizo is not rebel.

Just then, their ship arrives above the planet Moraga. After landing, they are greeted by Morfizo's wife Morfizia and her children. She informs them that her husband had joined a rebel cell and been imprisoned by the Galactic Empire on the planet Lahn. While Ezra and Kanan play with the children, Kanan agrees to help but advises Morfizia that it is no longer say for her family to stay on Moraga. Kanan convinces Governor Key to give Morfizia and her children new identities on Kaller. Kanan shows Ezra his secret starship Escape, which is hidden in a hangar.

Mission to Lahn[]

While traveling to Lahn, Ezra asks Kanan about his secret ship. Kanan responds that Hera's ship Ghost is their home and that they already have the Phantom but that Morfizo has been keeping the Escape safe for him for several years just in case. After landing on Lahn, Ezra and Kanan head to the Imperial outpost at the Illmek Island Spaceport.

Using a scanner, Kanan determines that Morfiza is being held inside a building with two more stormtroopers and an Imperial officer. Under Kanan's orders, Ezra agrees to create a diversion to lure away the two stormtroopers guarding the door so that Kanan can sneak through the roof and liberate his friend. Ezra agrees to meet back at the Escape once they are done.

Putting their plans into action, Ezra tries to distract the stormtroopers by claiming that a girl is painting anti-Imperial graffiti at the spaceport. However, the stormtroopers do not fall for his trap and one of them attempts to detain him. Ezra fires an energy slingshot at the stormtroopers and leads them on a chase. Kanan watches from the roof while hoping that he does not have to rescue Ezra.

Kanan uses his lightsaber to dig a hole through the roof and break into the prison. He dispatches the two stormtroopers guarding Morfizo's cell with his blaster. However, the Imperial officer fires at the energy field outside Morfizo's cell. The officer tells him that she did not miss because she did not intend to kill him, revealing herself as Vice Admiral Rae Sloane. She orders Kanan to drop his weapon, describing him as her "hobby."

Rae Sloane reveals that she has been tracking Kanan down ever since their last encounter during the Gorse Conflict. She realized that Kanan was more than a pilot and investigated his history, finding that Kanan did not "exist" before meeting Morfizo on Moraga. Morfizo remarks that Kanan lied to him. Sloane surmises that Kanan doesn't trust even his closest friends and asks whether he was truthful with the "Twi'lek pilot" Hera.

Kanan refuses to answer that question and asks whether she imprisoned Morfizo in order to lure him into a trap. Sloane orders him to keep his distance and to put his hands up. She responds that she arrested Morfizo for being a rebel but privately hope that his arrest would somehow lead her to Kanan. Kanan uses the Force to shove her against the energy shield outside Morfizo's cell, knocking her out.

Reunion[]

Back at the Escape, Morfizo asks Kanan why he did not tell him about being a Jedi. Kanan responds that he wasn't a Jedi at the time. Kanan asks him to keep his Jedi identity a secret, which Morfizo agrees to. Shortly later, they are joined by Ezra Bridger. When Kanan asks Ezra if he encountered any problems, Ezra responds that it wasn't something he couldn't handle. Kanan, Ezra, and Morfizo leave Lahn on the Escape.

At the wrecked Imperial outpost, Vice-Admiral Sloane is visited by the Grand Inquisitor, who demands that she tell him everything that she knows about her "hobby."

Homeward bound[]

Returning to Kaller, Governor Key tells Kanan and Ezra that he has arranged new identities for Morfizo, his wife Morfizia, and their three children. He has also found a safe place to hide the Escape. Key asks Kanan how his rebellion survived without him but Kanan replies that is only on a need to know basis.

Ezra tells Kanan that he was cornered at a dead-end alley by the two stormtroopers but that some "random guy" helped him out. When Kanan inquires about the "random guy," Ezra replies that the guy didn't stop to sk and that he said thanks before taking off. Kanan replies that sounds like a plan and says he cannot wait to leave Kaller.

Old friends[]

Meanwhile, aboard the Kasmiri, Kleeve asks Janus Kasmir why he was so late. Janus tells him that he saved a "random kid" who was being cornered by two stormtroopers. When Kleeve asks who was it, Kasmiri replies that the kid just said thanks and took off. When Kleeve asks Kasmir why he got involved, Kasmir says he doesn't know but that the kid reminded him of someone they used to know.
