"You know you can't trust those little freaks!"
―Han Solo, to Bala-Tik, regarding Kanjiklub[src]

Kanjiklub was a notorious criminal organization that operated in the Outer Rim Territories approximately thirty years after the Battle of Endor. The gang was led by street fighter Tasu Leech and his lieutenants; once Delphi Kloda and later Razoo Qin-Fee.

"I never made a deal with Kanjiklub!"
"Tell that to Kanjiklub."
―Han Solo and Bala Tik right before the arrival of Kanjiklub.[src]

Members of Kanjiklub aboard the Eravana

Originating as renegade slaves of the Hutts, Kanjiklub fighters, interchangeably known as "Kanjiklubbers" or "Kanjis," relied on makeshift weaponry to commit their crimes and enforce their will. This was in stark contrast to Kanjiklub's chief rivals, the Guavian Death Gang. Shortly before the Battle of Starkiller Base, Kanjiklub put aside their differences with the Guavians in order to confront long-time smuggler Han Solo over debts that he had failed to repay. Leech confronted Solo and his first mate, Chewbacca, aboard Solo's Eravana. However, a trio of dangerous rathtars were released into the session and the beasts killed at least two Kanjiklubbers and several Guavian security soldiers, which allowed Solo and his companions to escape. Bala-Tik asked for an individual to inform the First Order that Solo had BB-8.[2]

Behind the scenesEdit

The Kanjiklub were played by Indonesian actors Iko Uwais, Yayan Ruhian and Cecep Arif Rahman, who starred in the critically acclaimed action films The Raid and The Raid 2. The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams wondered if they were available and to his delight, they were. "Not enormous roles in the movie," he said, "but wonderful to have them in the film."[8]
