Karthakk was the primary star of the Karthakk system.
The Bounty Hunter Durge was engulfed by the star after being forced into an escape pod by Anakin Skywalker and sent flying towards it in 20 BBY. The seemingly invincible Gen'Dai was disintegrated by the star's intense heat.
Karthakk provided light to the nearby planets of Maramere, Lok and Nod Kartha.
