Kashyyyk bantha

Kashyyyk Bantha is a colloquial name referring to various sub-species of Banthas found on the Wookiee world of Kashyyyk. Most often, the term refers to the Kashyyyk greyclimber, whose evolution is unique to Kashyyyk. However, the term may also refer to the Three-horned bantha, or even the common bantha, both of which can also be found on Kashyyyk. The common bantha, with shaggy hair, is commonly used for taxi services in large Wookiee villages ^[1].

The "Kashyyyk bantha" in The Hidden Enemy had three horns, contradicting the Gamer depiction and description in The New Essential Guide to Alien Species. The Kashyyyk banthas that appear in the Star Wars Galaxies expansion Rage of the Wookiees also have three horns. Thus, the term does not refer to one particular sub-species, but simply to banthas located on Kashyyyk.
