K3, otherwise known as Kaythree, was the personal protocol droid of Mara Jade when she served as an Emperor's Hand.

BiographyEdit

During the Empire Day festivities of 1 ABY, Kaythree visited Theed with Mara Jade to issue out jobs to various non-combat Imperials, such as traders and entertainers.

Behind the scenesEdit

Kaythree made appearances as a non-player character (NPC) in the 2003 MMORPG Star Wars Galaxies. During the Empire Day live events of 2009, 2010, and 2011, he could be found in Theed handing out quests to non-combat players, such as traders and entertainers.

In the game, Kaythree's appearance differed slightly in comparison to the comic. It is likely the developers of the game simply gave Kaythree a typical 3PO droid appearance due to a lack of sufficient art models.
