Kea Moll was a member of a resistance cell on her homeworld, Annoo during the early years of the Galactic Empire. She was also an accomplished starship pilot and the owner of Star Runner.
[edit] Biography
Native to the planet Annoo, Kea was raised by her mother Demma on a farm on Annoo. Living on the farm gave her enough free time to become an accomplished pilot at a young age. Demma was apposed to the tyranny of the Empire and the various crime gangs in operation throughout the Galaxy and so led the local branch of the resistance which was beginning to appear at the time. By the time Kea had turned 15, Demma revealed this secret to Kea and, as Kea had witnessed many of the atrocities committed by the Empire both on her own world and others, she quickly joined her mother.
Demma discovered that the Fromm Gang were constructing a powerful weapons satellite, Trigon 1, which they intended to use to take over the other gangs. Realizing that too much power in the hands of any one gang would be bad for everybody, Demma charged Kea with finding and destroying Trigon 1. Aged only seventeen, Kea set out to Ingo to locate Tig Fromm’s secret base but upon arriving encountered two speeder racers, Thall Joben and Jord Dusat, and their droids, R2-D2 and C-3PO, who were under attack by Fromm’s sentry droids. Kea assisted them in escaping and informed them of her plan. Joben and Dusat agreed to help Kea in her mission.
Together with her new friends, Kea was able to break into the secret base and steal Trigon 1. Joben hid the weapons satellite in a forest on Ingo but when Sise Fromm kidnapped Dusat and Demma, he agreed to reveal the location in exchange for their release. Tig Fromm went to retrieve Trigon 1, but Joben and R2-D2 had sabotaged the guidance system causing the ship to collide with and destroy Sise Fromm’s base on Annoo.
Her mission complete, Kea took Joben and Dusat to Boonta where Joben won the Boonta Speeder Race, despite the efforts of Boba Fett who had been hired to kill the young racers. After the race, Joben and Dusat were approached by Zebulon Dak, owner of Zebulon Dak Speeder Corporation and secret resistance operative who used his business as a cover, who offered them jobs designing and engineering speeders. They accepted and Kea went with them, though neither of her friends knew her true function; she was tasked with spying on manufacturing plants loyal to the Empire including Balmorra and Millennium Engineering. Kea would later go on to join the Rebellion formally and was in fact one of the founding members of New Republic Intelligence in her later years.
