Ketwol[2] was a Pacithhip patron of Chalmun's Cantina[1] in the year 0 BBY,[3] shortly before the Battle of Yavin, who sat at a table across from a Lamproid[1] known as Dice Ibegon.[4]

Behind the scenesEdit

Ketwol first appeared in the 1997 Special Edition re-release of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, in which he was portrayed by a puppet created by special effect artist Howie Weed.[5] Ketwol's puppet was the same puppet used for Melas, except turned around. The back of Ketwol's head became Mela's face and Ketwol's trunk and tusks were concealed by Melas' turban.[5]

Effects supervisor John Knoll noticed that the back of our Ketwol puppet's head looked like a completely different creature, so we turned it around, redressed it with new clothing, and shot it as a separate character. Two monsters for the price of one!”
