Kevin James Anderson is a prolific science fiction author and the author of The Jedi Academy Trilogy of books, which told the story of Luke Skywalker's attempts to begin training Jedi on Yavin 4. It also sees the introduction of characters such as Kyp Durron and Admiral Daala. He also co-wrote the Young Jedi Knights series with his wife Rebecca Moesta. During the writing of his early Star Wars novels, he communicated with fans as a member of the FidoNet Star Wars Echo.
