Standing up to three meters tall at the shoulder, Kilian banthas could easily traverse a steep, rocky slope, and were well-adapted to living in mountainous regions. Their fur was thicker and longer than a common bantha's, and their diet consisted of a wide spectrum of shrubs and other plant life. They were capable of going weeks without food or water in critical situations.
Kilian banthas were domesticated by the natives of Kilia IV for use as mounts while traveling through the mountains. Like all species of bantha, the Kilian's were raised for their milk, meat, and hide.
