A King was the male head of a monarchic government. The female equivalent was the Queen. Like Naboo and Zeltros, some planets were ruled by an elective monarchy. Several governments in the galaxy had Kings.
- "King of Mon Cala" was the title held by the ruler of the planet Mon Calamari. Yos Kolina was its eighty-second King, succeeded by his son, Lee-Char, who therefore became the eighty-third.[1]
- The King of the Sith species was also known as the Sith'ari.[3]
- Before the establishment of a theocracy on Nazzri in 5002 BBY, the Nazzar were ruled by figure with the double title of Emperor-King. Thereafter the planetary ruler was merely entitled King.[4]
