Kitha Farlander lived with her parents and her brother, Keyan in Tondatha, a small town on Agamar.

When the Galactic Empire destroyed the town with an orbital bombardment, alleging that the residents had been plotting against the Emperor, Kitha's parents were killed and she received serious burns. Keyan sent her to live with relatives on Oorn Tchis in the hopes that she could receive treatment there.
