Koltine was a[4] Wild Space[1] world[4] located within the star system of the same name[3] as part of the Jahilid Drift region.[2] More than a decade after the establishment of the Galactic Empire, the Kaleesh Imperial General Bentilais san Sk'ar led a strike force in conquering Koltine and other worlds along the Jahilid Drift. Sk'ar's victories there led to a boost in his reputation among Imperial admirals.[4]

Behind the scenesEdit

Koltine was first mentioned in "Aliens in the Empire, Part 2: To a Traitor Go the Spoils," a 2007 Hyperspace article written by Abel G. Peña and Rich Handley.[4]

Although the 2008 reference book The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia placed Koltine within the Jahilid Drift, which was stated to be an Outer Rim Territories region,[2] the 2009 book The Essential Atlas placed the Koltine system, and therefore Koltine itself, in grid square L-21 as part of Wild Space instead.[1]
