"For the Republic and the Jedi to bring peace to this system and beyond! We've received several requests for aid from Sump and Shuraden. We've gotten word Merokia has cut off all ties to E'ronoh. This war is now affecting the trade routes in the Koradin sector."
―Orlen Mollo, to several Jedi[1]

By 382 BBY,[2] the effects of the war between the Outer Rim planets Eiram and E'ronoh began affecting trade routes in the Koradin sector due to pirates picking off the spoils of war.[1] That year,[1] Supreme Chancellor Orlen Mollo grew frustrated with the war's toll on the Koradin sector and other locations, which had thus far required the extensive rerouting of several hyperspace routes. When Eiram requested assistance from the Galactic Republic's Office of the Frontier, Mollo traveled to the Eiram system in his Alif-class Longbeam, the Paxion, telling several Jedi—who were in the system delivering aid to Eiram—about the current situation and how the Republic and the Jedi could work with Eiram and E'ronoh to negotiate for peace.[1]

HighRepublicConvergence-Cover

Convergence marked the first mention of the Koradin sector in the current Star Wars canon.

The Koradin sector was first mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in Convergence, a 2022 novel written by Zoraida Córdova as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase II.[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the Outer Rim Territories' Koradin sector[3] was first mentioned in the 1994 sourcebook Galaxy Guide 11: Criminal Organizations, written by Rick D. Stuart for use with West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[4] The StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry placed the Brint-wo and Tegrat systems in the sector.[3]

The latter contained[3] the planet Tegrat, which appeared in the Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game adventure "Imperial Research Station 13," written by Lester W. Smith and published in the OctoberNovember 1990 forty-sixth issue of the Challenge magazine. The adventure was thereby established as the de facto earliest appearance of the Koradin sector; however, its canonicity with respect to the Legends continuity was never confirmed since it was released outside of the Lucas Licensing process.[5] The first appearance of the Koradin sector in a canonical source was through the appearance of the planet Brint-wo and the space station Brint-wo Colony in the 1999 LucasArts video game Star Wars: X-Wing Alliance.[6]
