Kot Murno was an officer of the Peace Brigade force commanded by Captain Imsatad which attacked Yavin 4 in 27 ABY. Claiming to hold the rank of Lieutenant, he commanded the group of five or six ships sent down to attack the Jedi Academy directly.
Although Murno told Anakin Solo that he and his men were acting on the authority of the Alliance of Twelve, it is unclear how close the group's connections really were to the Peace Brigade hierarchy, and it is known that some of the attack force, like Remis Vehn, were mercenaries or smugglers hired specifically for the mission. Nevertheless, Murno's position as leader of the landing force suggests a high position within the unit, and might indicate that he was either a trusted ally of the ex-Imperial Imsatad, or else that he commanded significant authority within the group on his own account.
