Biography
Edit

Admiral Krane personally trained Rookie One to fly with a TIE Fighter, due to the importance of his mission to capture the TIE Phantom. He led him to a rocky planet and together they entered an extremely hazardous canyon. He was surprised to see that Rookie One managed to master the TIE piloting and followed his lead with minimal damage. As he joked, the young Rebel would make the Emperor Palpatine proud should he had been a TIE pilot.
After his training, Krane along with Darnell Reggs, escorted Rookie One on his way to Ceti 597 on his way to Imdaar in Y-wing starfighters should he meet any hazards. On their way, they encountered some squadrons of TIE Interceptors which they managed to dispose so that Rookie One could safely proceed to Ceti 597.
On the pilot's return to the Rebel base, Krane, being the superior, congratulated and awarded the Rebel.
Personality and traits
Edit
Krane was a tough Rebel Alliance officer, and he was best known for the harsh way he treated people.
Hardened by military experience, he despised the Galactic Empire and believed it could only be defeated with a well-honed, precision fighting force. Consequently, he was known for giving little leeway to pilots under his command.
Behind the scenes
Edit
Krane was created for the LucasArts video game Star Wars: Rebel Assault II: The Hidden Empire, in which he was portrayed by Craig C. Lewis. Project leader Vincent Lee's storyboards and scripts document for Rebel Assault II, dated November 16, 1994, included a brief description of Krane, much of which was included in a short biography of the character on the LucasArts website. However, the character's age of "late forties" was not mentioned in the game, its manual or online and was only reprinted in Rob Smith's Rogue Leaders: The Story of LucasArts. Lee also made notes on the people he thought symbolized each character in the game, selecting Tommy Lee Jones to represent Krane. Both Lee's notes and the LucasArts website biography refer to him as "Commander Krane", though the character is called "Admiral Krane" in the game itself.
The way Krane congratulates Rookie One depends on the difficulty level of the game chosen in the beginning by the player: At the end of the Beginner level gaming, Krane just handshakes Rookie One. In the Most Difficult level, Krane places a medallion with the Rebellion insignia around his neck.
