"Krix and Smug should be back by now."
Lagon ponders Krix's whereabouts[src]

Krix was a Trandoshan male hunter who was a member of a hunting guild that hunted sentient beings. During the year 20 BBY, Krix partook in a series of hunting outings that were to serve as the first hunts of guild boss Garnac's son, Dar. Krix witnessed Dar's initiation ceremony, but the young hunter was killed the following day. Later, Krix flew a hover pod to the site of the guild's crashed HCT-2001 Dragonboat-class Reugeot 905 freighter in order to pickup the hunter Smug. However, Smug's request for a pickup was a trap, and Krix was knocked out by the Wookiee captive Chewbacca who then, alongside several Jedi allies, stole the hover pod.

Krix was a Trandoshan male big game hunter who was a member of a hunting guild led by fellow Trandoshan hunter Garnac. The guild was known for capturing live, sentient beings and dropping them off on the moon of Wasskah, where they were hunted for sport.[1]

During the year 20 BBY,[3], a slew of new captures were released on Wasskah's Island Four. Krix was present for Garnac's endorsement for the new hunt, and along with the other Trandoshans, Krix took up arms and rode a hover pod to the island to hunt the prey. Following the first day of hunting, Krix was present on Garnac's floating fortress for the initiation ceremony of Garnac's son, Dar, who would take on his first hunt the next day. Along with the other Trandoshans, Krix cheered Dar on as the young hunter celebrated the coming hunt. However, Dar was killed by the captive Jedi Ahsoka Tano the next day, effectively bringing his first hunt to a swift end.[1] A few days later, Tano, along with two other Jedi captives, downed the Trandoshans' HCT-2001 Dragonboat-class Reugeot 905 freighter on Island Four's beach, freeing the sole Wookiee prisoner. Krix investigated the crash during the daytime, and helped pull the body of the pilot Clutch out from the wreckage. That night, the hunter Smug went to the crash site in order to hunt the Jedi.[2]

The next morning, Krix flew a hover pod to Island Four in order to pick Smug up per the hunter's request. Little did Krix know, the Jedi had used a Force mind trick on Smug, as they wished to steal the hover pod in order to directly attack Garnac's fortress. Krix found Smug waiting, but upon landing, Krix was attacked by Tano and thrown from the pod. The Trandoshan was about to go on the offensive but was confronted by the escaped Wookiee, Chewbacca, and was knocked out with a single punch.[2]

Chewbacca and the Jedi took the hover pod to Garnac's fortress, and with the help of Wookiee reinforcements, they killed the remaining guild members, leaving Krix and Smug as the only surviving members.[2]

Personality and traitsEdit

Krix was burly Trandoshan with green-colored skin and orange eyes.[2] The stocky Trandoshan was excited by the prospect of Dar joining the hunt, and eagerly chanted the young hunter's name during Dar's initiation.[1] Upon being attacked by the Jedi, Krix was prepared to go on the offensive, but was visibly intimidated by the appearance of the towering Chewbacca.[2]

Krix Concept Art

Conceptual artwork of Krix for "Padawan Lost"

Krix was one of the many Trandoshan characters introduced in "Padawan Lost," the twenty-first episode in season three of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars.[1] Krix appeared again and was identified by name in the following episode, "Wookiee Hunt," where his voice was provided by Richard Green, the voice actor of fellow Trandoshan Lo-Taren.[2] Both episodes aired on April 1, 2011 as the season finale.[4][5]

Conceptual artwork for Krix presented him with yellow colored eyes and a skin tone that had a bluer hue,[4] whereas his final design changed his eyes to orange and his skin appeared more green.[2]
