Kroyies were a large birdlike species native to the planet Kashyyyk^[1].

Avian animals, the kroyies were hunted as a food source by the natives of Kashyyyk, the Wookiees. Kroyies lived in the high branches of Wroshyr trees and were attracted to bright lights, causing the Wookiees to use powerful searchlights projected into the sky or clouds in order to catch them.^[1]
