The Kumumgah rebellion was a conflict that occurred in the Pre-Republic era between the Infinite Empire and the Kumumgah species.

HistoryEdit

After ruling the Kumumgah for generations, the Rakata had lost their power due to a plague that weakened them and their numbers lessened.Taking advantage of the situation, the Kumumgah started a rebellion which had begun with the sabotage of Rakatan machinery.The Rakata retaliated and fought back, but were eventually defeated by the Kumumgah.Angered, the Rakata bombarded the planet from orbit before leaving Tatooine.The bombardment destroyed the planets' once lush surface, turning into a desert wasteland.

AftermathEdit

Despite their best efforts, the Rakata were unable to kill off the entire Kumumgah population, as some of the rebels had prepared underground bunkers earlier.After the conflict, the survivors re-emerged from underground, only to devolve and become a primitive species that wandered across the desert planet.By the time when Revan traveled to Tatooine during his quest for the Rakatan Star Maps, only basic information about this conflict managed to survive in the form of oral history of the Tusken Raiders.
