Kyvalon-4 was a type of gas sometimes used in the repulsolifts of starships. It was considered harmless to most sentient races, including Humans and Near-Humans.

One species that has a bad reaction to Kyvalon-4 are Ithorians. When exposed, Ithorians temporarily become homicidal maniacs.
