As part of the Republic's resettlement initiative for the planet Taris, a colony was started on the shores of Lake Brell under the leadership of Yelzrin during the Cold War. During the Desolator crisis of 3,643 BBY, a Sith assassin by the name of Rora Seake was sent to destroy the colony, but she was defeated in a duel by a young Jedi Knight.
