Laser cutters were laser tools that could be used to slice though almost any material, though they could also be used as weapons. When in use, they generated a high amount of recoil, which could cause its user to be knocked backwards if not anchored in place. During the Clone Wars, the astromech droid U9-C4 was outfitted with a concealed laser cutter for a mission to secure a Separatist encryption module.[1]
