Ld-12 laser defense satellite platform
The Ld-12 laser defense satellite was an armed satellite platform developed by the Corporate Sector Authority for the defense of orbital installations and targets such as space stations, construction docks and industrial platforms.
The Ld-12 housed twin rapid-firing laser cannons best suited for attacking fighters. However, the cannons could also prove a threat to frigate-sized craft.
Like the Md-12 missile defense satellite platform, this modular cannon was developed to be built on an easily-modifiable, general-purpose satellite base.
