A Legate was an assistant legislator in the New Republic and Galactic Alliance Senates. Legates weren't allowed to vote in the Senate, but they were allowed to voice their concerns in session. Like Associate Planetary Representatives, they represented affiliate groups.

Behind the acenesEdit

Legates were generals in the Roman army, equivalent to a modern general officer. These officers were drawn from the Senatorial class.
