Lemnai were nocturnal creatures that lived on the plains of Vendaxa, a world known to have one of the densest ecosystems in the galaxy.^[1] They were about a meter long and had leathery skin that ranged from black to brown.^[source?] The leathery-shelled creatures were a common prey of the acklay, who roamed the plains by day in search of lemnai asleep in their dens.^[2]
