History
Edit
Lettow joined the Galactic Republic early in its history, sometime between 25,000 BBY and 22,000 BBY.[1]
This planet was the birthplace of the Legions of Lettow, a dark side group established by fallen Jedi.[1] The tension between the Jedi and these dissidents grew until the First Great Schism erupted circa 24,500 BBY.
Behind the scenes
Edit
"Lettow" was a name used for members of the Legions of Lettow, the name for the entirety of the Sith Order, in George Lucas' first revision of the original script of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, then-titled The Star Wars.[2] It is unknown what, if any, connection the planet Lettow has with this concept.
