Lhunu was a Rakata who lived in the underground chambers of the prison world of Belsavis by the years of the Cold War. He opposed some of the policies of the Infinite Empire and worked to atone for their crimes. One of his goals was getting aid in freeing the Esh-kha Hallow Voice and his followers though he believed the warrior Esh-kha were too dangerous to be allowed their freedom. In this time, the Sith Empire instigated large scale riots on the planet to free vital prisoners. This saw the Scorekeeper's Herald arrive where the Jedi Consular sought the Esh-kha as a possible army for use against the Sith.

The Jedi's plan was uncovered by Commander Geland who was one of the Children of the Emperor who intended to thwart the Scorekeeper Herald's goal. Using the Belsavis security systems, he succeeded in trapping the Jedi but the Consular received help from Lhunu who guided the Herald on their mission to free Hallow Voice.
