Lidek Baws was a native of Naboo that was recruited into the Alliance to Restore the Republic. He was placed in their recruiting division and operated out of Tatooine. However, he was in fact a spy for the Galactic Empire and fed them information regarding Alliance smugglers. This leak was picked up by Hantor Loftus, who sent a spacer to kill Baws and his overseers in the Tatooine desert.
