A lightstorm was a massive electromagnetic wave that occurred in the Kathol Rift. Lightstorms were hundreds of light years in diameter, and were formed by the build up of radiation and ionic charges. The lightstorms could easily swallow entire fleets, leaving minimal amounts of debris.
