The Local Dig was one of the largest facilities on Polis Massa. It was situated above what remains of a city called Wiyentaah; an Eellayin city.

Behind the scenesEdit

As Polis Massa itself is a reference to the Clavius moon base seen in the 1968 film 2001: A Space Odyssey,^[source?] this dig is likely a reference to the geological dig for the monolith which is a key part of that film.
