A locator or signal locator was a personal device that worked similar to a homing beacon and sent a signal allowing its location to be tracked. For example, when Jedi Treetower encountered trouble in the skies over Yorn Skot, H.O.P.E. Squad used his locator to find the unconscious Jedi.
