A loincloth was a type of undergarment, worn by various species to cover the loins. Loincloths were also worn by certain servants and slaves. Squibs and Rodians, particularly those of the Chekkoo Clan, were known to wear loincloths.

Loincloths were also a type of living cloth worn by the Yuuzhan Vong, particularly the Shamed Ones. It automatically sealed itself to the flesh of the wearer.
