The loirbnigg was a non-sentient, reptilian species native to Frisal, a reserve planet^[1] for wealthy Imperial families.^[2] There, the eight-legged creature^[1] was bred^[2] and trained as a riding animal.^[3] They were ridden by youth of the Atrisian noble families, such as Villis Andal, who later became the Imperial Moff of the Elrood sector.^[1]

Behind the scenesEdit

John Terra created the loirbnigg for Planets of the Galaxy, Volume Three, published by West End Games in 1993. It was later mentioned in 1994 in The Star Wars Planets Collection, which collected the three Planets of the Galaxy volumes, and in 2008 in The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia.
