The lone battle droid was a B1 battle droid that had been destroyed and rebuilt throughout its existence. During a Clone Wars battle, the battle droid stepped on a mine, blowing apart its line and severing its connection to the hive-mind control. Now capable of independent thought, it fled, only to be chased by a grapple droid. The B1 battle droid escaped, but its power ran out shortly after. Years later, it was found by several farmers, who decided to restore it and use it to help them plant crops.
