The Loose Cannon pirates were a gang of criminals and mercenaries operating during the Galactic Civil War.

One of their schemes involved entrapping the Azzameen family with an offer of black market bacta, then disabling their craft before capturing the family. The purpose of this scheme was unknown, perhaps extortion, or even selling their unfortunate captives into slavery.

However, the Azzameens were able to fight their way out of the ambush, destroying several of the Loose Cannon ships in the process. Emon Azzameen recovered a bottle of Zairona Ale from the wreckage of the pirate ships, and gave it to his younger brother, Ace Azzameen, who placed the bottle in his cabin aboard his family's YT-2000 Otana.

Behind the scenesEdit

The name "Loose Cannon" is speculative, since the actual name of the gang is unknown. However, the briefing in the combat simulation chamber of the game uses this name to refer to the pirate clan.
