"You there. Lookin' for a long term job that involves you getting your hands a bit dirty? If so, I know of a place where you can make some money by taking out a group of Aqualishes. They've got all kinds of good weapons on them you probably can use or sell."
―A commoner, to a spacer[2]

The Lost Aqualish War Party's Cave was a cave located northwest of the city of Dearic on the planet Talus. It was used by the Lost Aqualish.

History[]

"This is where you can find the so-called "Lost Aqualish War Party". Go out there and make sure they get lost permanently. They're just bad for business."
―A commoner, to a spacer[2]

The cave was the base of operations of the Lost Aqualish,[1] a group of isolationist Aqualish whose ancestors were secretly positioned on Talus during the Aqualish–Corellian War centuries prior to the Battle of Yavin, and forgotten when the war ended.[3] The Aqualish war party discovered the cave in the wilderness of Talus and took up permanent residence when they realized that it was the perfect staging ground for their raids.[1] Over the centuries, the Aqualish had managed to keep their base hidden from everyone, especially the human settlers on Talus. The Lost Aqualish were still living in the cave during the time of the Galactic Civil War, ready to take the fight against the Corellians when the conflict would begin anew.[3]

In 1 ABY,[4] a mercenary in Nashal requested a spacer to attack the cave and eliminate as much Aqualish warriors as possible.[2]

The same year, a spacer visited the cave and collected a sinew wrapped knife.[5]

  4. According to its opening crawl, Star Wars Galaxies was set sometime after Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. The only precise time indication in the game was given by the character Ruwan Tokai, who referenced the destruction of the Death Star at the Battle of Yavin as occurring one year earlier, placing the game sometime around 1 ABY. Later, multiple elements confirmed the placement of the game storyline in 1 ABY. First, The Essential Reader's Companion established that the tie-in novel Star Wars Galaxies: The Ruins of Dantooine took place in 1 ABY. Furthermore, the game expansion Star Wars Galaxies: Rage of the Wookiees was set during the Blockade of Kashyyyk, one year after the Battle of Yavin according to The Star Wars Holiday Special. Additionally, the main scenario of The Nightsister's Revenge from the Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game was set over a year before the Battle of Hoth (3 ABY), so around 1.5 ABY. Finally, the reference book Strongholds of Resistance placed the events of Star Wars Galaxies's Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" one year after the Battle of Yavin. Of note, Galaxies's Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" introduced the Battle of Hoth in the game. However, the developers were quite clear that this was only intended to be a completely isolated "Star Wars Moment" without any effect on continuity for the rest of the game.
