The Lost Hope was an old, barely-functioning freighter with two sublight engines.[1]

The freighter design was based on the Trade Federation Lucrehulk-class LH-3210 cargo freighter, but was much smaller.[2] The freighter itself was so rusty and degraded by 25 ABY, it had large, red spots covering its hull.[2]

In 25 ABY, it was used to ferry a New Republic crew on the Best Chance from the Ralroost to Garqi prior to the battle which took place there.[1]
