The Lucrehulk-class destroyer was one of several newer Trade Federation warship designs made in the years following the Invasion of Naboo.[1]

It was designed as a quick and light warship, capable of defending the Federation's fleets and chasing down blockade runners. As with many other Trade Federation models, this destroyer design had a Lucrehulk-class core ship as its control core.[1]
