Ludwick was a Nebulon-B2 frigate under the command of Commander Buckeye, apart of a task force commanded by, then Vice Admiral, Thrawn. It attacked and destroyed a pirate outpost belonging to the Pakuuni Pirates, in order to establish a new space installation called NL-1 during the Battle on the Frontier. The Ludwick also watched over station NL-1 while the Stalwart was arranging for addition support starships personnel.
