[edit] Merchandise

The Ewok formerly known as Lumat.

Lumat was made into an action figure by Kenner in 1984. Upon his initial release, he was in a Return of the Jedi package with a bow, a quiver, and a hood. The second release, on Power of the Force packaging, added a coin to his accessories.

[edit] Identification

While the action figure shows Lumat to be an Ewok with solid brown/gray fur, Lumat was retconned by the CCG as a prominent Ewok with black and gray striped fur.

The original "Lumat" remains without a new name or backstory.

The original Brown furred "Lumat" was known as the "Lumat" action figure made by Kenner.

The original "Lumat" is one of less than a dozen characters remaining to be resculpted from the Vintage movie action figures. However, the Ewok Graak, set to be released in 2007, is based on the original "Lumat" action figure, though bearing Graak's black and gray colors. Strangely, the figure's coloration actually matches that of the new Lumat more than Graak.

The original "Lumat" can be seen in the SE DVD of ROTJ at frame 1:12:32.
