The Lumini Pirates were a pirate group led by smuggler, Kaerobani.
A significant conflict between the pirates and the New Republic occurred in 10 ABY when the pirates, using an Interdictor cruiser, pulled a Republic CR90 corvette out of hyperspace and stole a holocron it was transporting. The pirates however didn't count on Mara Jade, who was serving on board. After arriving at the pirates' orbital shipyard via a crate, she stowed away on a transport to Kaerobani's base on Rathalay. There, due largely to the raiders' sloppiness, Jade was able to recover the Holocron and escape.
