A Lungworm was a biotechnological creature shaped by the Yuuzhan Vong to supply air to to the gnullith worn with a vacuum ooglith, their equivalent of a spacesuit. Worn coiled on the wearer's back, it reached round over the shoulder to connect its mouth to the gnullith, and it could supply air for up to two hours—at which point, having run out of air itself, it would expire.
