Lura Tranor was a female Human Jedi Master served the Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic during the final decades of the Republic Classic era.

Biography

A Force-sensitive, Lura Tranor was educated in the ways of the Force, attaining the rank of Jedi Master by the time of the Separatist Crisis. Selecting the young Human Initiate Jyl Somtay as her Padawan, the Master-Padawan duo trained together for several years until Somtay achieved the rank of Jedi Knight.[1]
At the height of the Separatist Crisis, the tensions between the Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems came to a head on Geonosis with the arrest and trial of Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker and Senator Padmé Amidala. When Master of the Order Mace Windu formed a strike team to rescue the Jedi and senator, Jedi Somtay was away but Master Tranor answered the call. Following her fellow Jedi to the dusty world, Master Tranor helped storm the Petranaki arena and took up her lightsaber against the Separatist Droid Army. Despite her bravery and skill, Master Tranor lost her life during the bloody battle.[1]
